Never again! A Holocaust survivor reports.
Ivar Buterfas (90), a Holocaust survivor from Hamburg, will talk about his experiences during the nationalsocialist era.
Since the 1980s he has been visiting schools and universities, especially to teach young people the dangers of fascism. His haunting reports are based on personal experiences from his childhood, when he escaped the horrors of the Nazi regime.
At a time of growing concern about the resurgence of right-wing extremism and its devastating effects, Buterfas’ testimony is of vital importance.
In addition to his moving story, the event will also address the current political situation in Germany.
The event will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. in Lecture Hall 5 at the JuWi campus, Licher Str. 68, 35394 Giessen. The report will be held in german.
