The winter semester is almost over and it’s time to rematriculate for the new summer semester 2025. The main part of rematriculation is to transfer the new semester fee of €358.08 to JLU Giessen by 28 February at the latest. Only then can you update your chip card at the validation machines for the canteen or other services and download your new inmatriculation certificate.

What is the semester fee for summer semester 2025?

• 13.50 €    Semester fee for the student body
• 103.70 €  Semester fee for the Studierendenwerk Giessen
• 50.00 €    Administration fee (to the state of Hessen)
• 1.50 €      Theatre semester ticket (AStA service)
• 2.00 €      Bicycle hire system (AStA Service)
• 2.00 €      Group legal protection insurance (AStA Service)
• 3.98 €      Swimming pool flat rate (AStA Service)
• 5.00 €      Cinema flat rate (AStA Service – information to follow!)
