The psychological counseling of the AStA of the Justus Liebig University Giessen is a cooperation with the Addiction Help Center Giessen (Suchthilfezentrum, short: SHZ). The psychologists are available to provide you with free and, if you wish, anonymous counseling. They support students with the help of psychological and psychotherapeutic methods.
In phone conversations we offer counseling on the following topics:
- Stress, excessive demands and work disorders
- Difficulties caused by stress disorders
- Problematic use of addictive substances
- Anxiety (e.g. exam or social anxiety)
- Depression
- Eating disorders
- Discussions with relatives within the framework of counseling
- Psychological diagnostics and problem clarification
- Information on counseling and treatment practices
- Test diagnostics for circumscribed questions
